How did you first discover the wonders of pomegranate?
My Greek grandmother used to make an amazing cream using beeswax, olive oil and pomegranate juice. It smelled wonderful. When I started my own skincare range, Rodial, I wanted to use one of the ingredients from my grandmothers recipe and chose pomegranate. It was 1999; no one else was using it at the time, so we were the pomegranate pioneers!

Have you ever had a Pomtini (martini made with pomegranate juice)?
In LA, my friends Jenny Kayne and Hilary Tisch hosted a lunch for me at the Hotel Bel Air in Beverly Hills for the launch of Glamotox in January. We sipped Pomtinis surrounded by A-list celebrities!

What’s your desert island essential?
Glamotox SPF18, face moisturiser with SPF18 to protect me from the sun and plump up the skin!

You use some very unusual ingredients in Rodial. Where do you find them?
I travel a lot for work (and pleasure!) and I am always inspired by unusual ingredients that I discover on my travels. When I come back, I speak to the Rodial lab and they source them for me.

Your newest line is Boob Job that has been a sell-out – why did you target boobs and what body part is next to be Rodial’ed?!
We are working on another wonder product for the body but you need to wait until next year to find out!
