Elemental Herbology

Elemental Herbology is the culmination of all of my professional experience and insight into holistic health and skincare. Over years of working as an Acupuncturist, Body Specialist, and in Spa Treatment Development, I worked with a large number of skincare and spa brands. I found there was a huge divide between the tactile indulgence of natural brands, and the effectiveness of Cosmeceuticals “doctor” brands. I created Elemental Herbology to bridge this gap by providing highly effective skincare that is equally as indulgent and sensory. The main objective as an Acupuncturist is to help the body find its equilibrium and balance all the elements. With this philosophy in mind – Elemental Herbology is designed to help the skin find its equilibrium when it is struggling to cope with seasonal, lifestyle, hormonal and environmental change, helping the skin find its natural balance and promoting a healthier, vital and more radiant complexion. We are committed to supporting your skin to look and feel its absolute best.

1. What was your inspiration behind the range?
To create indulgent but effective skincare that helps the skin find its equilibrium when it is struggling to combat the effects of seasonal, lifestyle, environmental and hormonal change.

2. What is your essential must-have product from the range?
Cell Food. It really is a miracle in a bottle and we have so many people writing to us from around the globe reiterating this so the proof really is in the pudding! Infused with protective vitamins and anti-oxidants, alongside radiance promoting actives and restorative plant proteins it seeks to protect, repair and restore vitality and radiance. If you are going to make one change to your skincare program this should be it.

3. How do you know which ingredients to use in the products?
Extensive research and user trials. I normally research the efficacy of the ingredient and love to work with those that use advanced technology to create natural plant complexes. They have a profound effect on the skin when used at clinical levels. I also love ingredients that have a wonderful story such as Sacha Inchi which comes from the Amazon Basin through a sustainable community project. It has organic, Ecocert and fair-trade status. Likewise, with Kalahari Watermelon seed Oil which comes from a PhytoTrade project in Africa.

4. Are you working on any new products?
Yes – we have some wonderful new products in the pipeline. As the philosophy of Elemental Herbology is to help support the skin adapting to hormonal change we are creating a line that supports the skin as it matures. We don’t believe in trying to perpetrate the beauty myth that “young is best” by trying to make our customers look like they did when they were 20, but instead want to ensure that our customers have fabulous, nutrient rich skincare that will support and nourish their skin to promote vitality, health and radiance.

5. What is your top beauty tip?
Ensure you exfoliate at least once to twice a week. If you aren’t exfoliating regularly your skin can’t absorb all the wonderful nutrients you are applying. Try our Facial Glow. It is super effective and smells divine.

6. Do you have a beauty indulgence?
I love to have a manicure and pedicure at least once a month. I have never mastered the art of paining my nails so this is such a treat.

7. What are your favourite quintessential travel products when on holiday?
Beach Prep to exfoliate. Deep Cleanse body wash, Sun Kiss Body Hydrator for the first few days of my holiday to help build my tan faster and Skin Drink after being out in the sun. Botanical Body Repair every night after a day of sun is an absolute must.

8. Where is your favourite place to holiday with family or friends?
In Europe, Croatia - my husband is Serbian so we go to the Adriatic every summer. While at home in Australia, Noosa on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. Both are really beautiful places to relax and unwind.
